The San Saba County Historical Museum is fortunate to receive support from
members and relatives of our community - present & past. Former student of SSISD, Jane Felts Mauldin has offered her kindness & talent with a partnership to assist the museum via her amazing artwork. The museum donated a print of the former grammar school to San Saba Elementary. Members of the museum board Rosemary Cox & Aileen Roberts are pictured with Mrs. Kay Shackelford, Principal. Varied prints by Mrs. Felts are now available for
purchase at the museum. The museum is open for the season each Saturday & Sunday from 1:30pm - 4pm. Come and see us!
Annual Meeting June 5
The museum will hold its annual meeting on June 5, 2016 at 2pm at the Father’s House Fellowship Hall 704 E. Commerce. Prior to the meeting starting at 1:30pm, light refreshments will be served.
Following a short business meeting at 2pm, Mike Kearby will present a program entitled "Spanish Horses in the New World and Their Impact on Amerindian Culture."
The San Saba County Historical Museum will take you places you could have never imagined. Walk through our doors and step into Grandma's Attic, Grandpa's Tack Room or stand at the window of our original post office.
The museum celebrated its grand re-opening on June 1, 2013. Come see all of the wonderful improvements funded by a grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority and by donations from our loyal friends.
